Celebrate 2021 National Farmers Market Week all Month Long!

August 1-7 is National Farmers Market Week! This year, we’re deciding to celebrate the entire month of August! Help us raise funds for our market in an effort to lower vendor fees for our 2022 season and invest in market improvements. Here are three ways you can help:

#1) Shop Local

The following business will donate a portion of August sales to the market.

Velodrome Coffee Company | 5% of sales from their Seasonal Drink Menu

Barrel + Beam | $1 from select cans purchased in their tasting room and to-go orders

Misery Bay Coffee | Half the profits from their Oatmilk Vanilla Nitro Latte

#2) Stock up on Limited Edition Market Swag

We’ve partnered with Yooper Shirts to bring you a full selection of market swag, featuring a design by local artist L. Naylor. Shop our custom online store August 1-31. All orders will be fulfilled in early September. All profits will be donated to the market!

#3) Make a Direct Donation

Visit our Donation Page to make a direct donation to the Downtown Marquette Farmers Market via PayPal.

About National Farmers Market Week and Our Market

This annual celebration, coordinated by the Farmers Market Coalition, celebrates farmers markets. This year’s campaign is centered around the essential role that farmers markets play in our local food systems and in developing local resilience in communities as hubs for connection.

The Downtown Marquette Farmers Market is in its 22nd season and currently hosts over 100 vendors annually. Due to the pandemic, the market operated at limited capacity last season and has been working hard to bring back programming and events, while also making time to invest in new opportunities. They are asking for the support of this community to help make this possible.
