2021 Applications Now Available
The Marquette Downtown Development Authority (MDDA) who sponsors the Downtown Marquette Farmers Market (DMFM) is excited to announce plans for its 22nd season. The DMFM will offer a Saturday Morning and Wednesday Evening outdoor market for the 2021 market season. The Saturday Morning Market will run May 22-October 30 from 9-1 PM. The Wednesday Evening Market will start June 16 and run until September 15 from 5-7 PM. The season will end with the Late Fall Market from November 7-December 18, with full details for this fall season being announced in mid-August. All markets are located at The Marquette Commons located at 112 South Third Street.
COVID-19 best practices and recommendations from City, State, and Federal authorities will be enforced. Vendors will be set up six feet apart to allow for social distancing. All vendors and shoppers will be required to wear a face mask or covering while shopping at the market. Shoppers will need to maintain six feet distance and are asked to not touch any products. Eligibility and Acceptable Products
The market is accepting applications from interested vendors for the 2021 season. There are two types of vendor offerings: Seasonal Vendors are usually polished professionals who commit to the full market season. A new business just starting out, or wanting to test the waters may be interested in applying as a Daily Vendor and pick and choose which markets they’d like to attend. This can be as few as just a single market or a handful of dates throughout the season. The DMFM is interested in vendors who are local farmers, growers, and artisans who make wholesome, quality Michigan food and farm products, and originally created non-food artisan products. Examples of products eligible to be sold at the market include:
Michigan agricultural products grown, raised or gathered by the applicant, including hemp and certain types of CBD products with appropriate licensing
Made from scratch food products, including products produced under the Michigan Cottage Food Law
Originally created non-food artisan products, created by the artist. No kits, imports, or re-sale items are permitted

The market also welcomes applications from non-politically affiliated community organizations. Applications for the Saturday Morning and Wednesday Evening markets are due Tuesday, April 13. Applications received after this date will be put on a waitlist. Interested applicants may submit an application on the DMFM website at www.mqtfarmersmarket.com/apply.
Under the current COVID-19 guidelines, all non-essential market activities including events, food demonstrations, children’s activities, and music are suspended.
