Previously posted on Friday, October 14
Double Up Food Bucks is a grant-funded program that allows customers who use a Bridge Card to earn an additional FREE $20 each market day that can be used to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables. Our market is issuing a temporary pause on matching and spending of Double Up Food Bucks starting Saturday, October 15 until further notice. An official announcement will be made as information becomes available.
We apologize for this inconvenience and hope to bring this program back as soon as possible. Please direct any questions to the market staff at the Information Booth during regularly scheduled market hours, or email the Market Manager at farmersmarket@downtownmarquette.org.
What does this mean for customers?
During this pause, customers will not be able to earn Double Up Food Bucks nor will they be able to make purchases with silver Double Up Food Bucks tokens until further notice. Customers who have silver tokens in their possession should hold on to them. Once the pause is lifted, customers will be able to use silver tokens accordingly. The market will continue to participate in all other food assistance programs.
What does this mean for vendors?
Vendors must stop accepting silver Double Up Food Bucks tokens from customers as payment for products. The market will not accept silver tokens at the end of the market as part of food assistance redemption.
